St. Peter's Church & World Outreach Center
Dr. James C. Hash, Sr.
Dr. James C. Hash, Sr., has been the senior pastor of St. Peter’s Church & World Outreach Center (SPWOC) since 1987. He is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, O.K., and holds a Bachelor of Theology and Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Union Christian Bible Institute in Durham, N.C. Dr. Hash has invested much time and energy in developing relationships of trust and service to mankind.
Receiving the pastorate of SPWOC upon the retirement of his father, the late Bishop Reuben K. Hash, Sr., Dr. Hash took the torch and ran fervently. As a result of the anointing, SPWOC has grown phenomenally and God has done great exploits through Dr. Hash in the ministry. From the beautiful 79-acre campus in Winston-Salem, N.C., Dr. Hash develops disciples for Christ through celebration services in the 3,200-seat sanctuary of the Family Worship Center and excellent leadership training services held in the multi-million dollar Family Life Enrichment Center. Engaged and committed to excellence, Dr. Hash is known for pioneering and facilitating ministry functions that are unfamiliar to the traditional denominational methodology. In his continual dedication to win souls and make disciples of men and women, youth and children, Dr. Hash transformed St. Peter’s into a powerful and dynamic ministry!
Dr. Hash cast the vision for Mentoring Twelve (M12) and cell-based ministry (cell groups) with faith and conviction. His powerful teaching of the Word of God, combined with his bold stand against mediocrity, provides the foundation for individuals to launch into the world to reach the lost, the hurting, the captive, the sick and the brokenhearted.
Dr. Hash encourages every believer to be a leader and as a result, hundreds who may not have had the opportunity to lead others are now winning souls, making disciples and living successful lives through cell groups all across North Carolina and soon throughout the United States.
Dr. Hash’s goal is to reach the world with the message of Jesus Christ through the personal and loving touch of the Mentoring of Twelve and cell-based ministry. Dr. Hash is truly focused on empowering his congregation to be God’s people who care about people God’s way. Through his love and compassion for mankind, Dr. Hash seeks every opportunity to exemplify leadership as well as cultivate the abilities in others to be all that God created them to be. His desire is to train individuals to fulfill the Great Commission Jesus put forth in Matthew 28:19: "Go forth and make disciples of all nations…" Dr. Hash is a devoted and loving husband to Joyce M. Hash and a doting father to his four children and his nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Joyce M. Hash
Mrs. Joyce Murphy Hash is a woman of God - called, appointed and anointed to carry out the work of the ministry. She is the faithful wife of Dr. James C. Hash, Sr., the pastor of St. Peter’s Church & World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. Together, they serve a thriving congregation and have celebrated 21 years of pastoring.
Mrs. Hash, a native of Wytheville, V.A., attended Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, O.K. to further her spiritual training. God has richly blessed her with a profound capacity to feel compassion for every woman. She has a deeply intuitive nature, which the Holy Spirit prompts to discern issues of the soul and the spirit of women through “Sister’s Keeper,” a ministry that leads today’s woman to reach her full potential by cultivating her own uniqueness and to know who she is no matter what her role in life.
Mrs. Hash receives numerous invitations both locally and nationally to share her Godly wisdom. She is confident as she works alongside her husband to carry out the vision of St. Peter’s Church & World Outreach Center.
Her sincere caring, coupled with great wisdom, makes her an outstanding asset to her husband, her family, her church family, and the Body of Christ. Married 40-plus years, she and her husband have four beautiful children and nine wonderful grandchildren. Mrs. Hash places great emphasis on keeping balance and harmony in the home and providing loving support to the family.
