Proverbs 29;18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Habakkuk 2:2 “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”

God’s greatness begins with a vision; a divine insight that reveals His plans for His people, or more specifically, for you. When God gives you a vision, write it down! Paper records what the mind forgets. Write it clearly so that it is easily understood by you and generations to come. Generations–your children and their children. These promises, which are also what a vision is, speak to you and quicken your heart. They are your anchor, so be steadfast and unmovable for it will come to pass.

Visions also give life. They are the lifeblood of a society. Nations whose leaders have no vision die. Immorality and apathy take over because there is no discipline and no hope. This lack leads to the demise of that people. However, there is always a remnant that believes the Word and walks in it. They are God’s oracles, for they speak and write what the Holy Spirit speaks to them.

Father God, I seek your face during this fast. Speak to me, Father, as I read Your Word. Let Your Word quicken the dead places in my life and reset my focus. I desire to be Your oracle as Your Holy Spirit speaks to me and through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is a scripture that has spoken to you? Explain its significance in your life.
